Advanced Section – Wednesday Night
Who are we for?
This section is very much for those who see badminton as a hobby but caters for players that are generally more skilled with competent who are looking for a consistently higher standard of play, but without the stress of playing in league matches. The players in the section are competitive but still enjoy playing in a fun and friendly way. Some of the Advanced players do also play in the General Section due to the variety of abilities and to allow them to play more often during the week.
To join this section you do need to be a higher intermediate to advanced player who can perform consistently at a high standard and who is wanting more serious gameplay.

Shine Community Sports Hall,

BS9 4DT
This purpose-built sports hall is available all year round. There are shower and toilet facilities in the hall and there is plenty of free on-street parking. We have access to four courts for the entire session.
Wednesday Advanced is the ideal section for players who want a higher standard of play than on Monday General, but don’t necessarily want to play to the league standard of the top section (Beaufort Park).
What time is the session?
Every* Wednesday between 2000 – 2200
*We play every Wednesday except if Christmas Day is on a Wednesday

The above fees include Badminton England Club Player affiliation and the Avon County Fee which run from October to October
Players joining two sections pay 150% of the higher charging section.
Visitors
You are more than welcome to come along and play as a visitor. The visitor fee is £8.00, which is payable cash on the night. Please contact us beforehand to ensure that there is availability to play and so that we know who to expect on the night.
